Kate Reid Speech Pathology
Welcome and thank-you for visiting ‘Kate Reid Speech Pathology’.
My name is Kate and I am a speech pathologist working in Wangaratta.

I am lucky to have grown up in this beautiful region and have worked locally for many years across community health, early intervention, education and mental health sectors.

I have a special interest in neurodevelopmental conditions, specifically the assessment and support of autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

About Me
Most recently I have been employed within the mental health sector as a speech pathologist and coordinator of a multidisciplinary autism assessment team. This role has encompassed the assessment of children and young people ranging in age from 0-25. I currently work at a local primary school to support the communication and inclusion of students with neurodivergent profiles and additional learning needs.

I have experience in administering a range of assessments required for understanding neurodevelopmental conditions as well as language and social communication profiles. I have undertaken many professional developmental opportunities to better understand neurodivergent experiences and perspectives, as well as best practice relating to support.

I believe in providing neuroaffirming, client centred support with focus on comprehensive evaluation and best practice principles.
"How well we communicate is not determined by how well we say things but how well we are understood."
